Find out more about Fostering at our Information Events
If you are thinking about
fostering, why not come along to one of our Fostering Information
Meetings, meet the team, as well as an experienced foster carer and
find out more about fostering with Merton.
We will talk about what fostering is? How the assessment process works, the types of support, training, and payments you'll receive, as well as how fostering could affect your family life and much more.
All you need is a spare bedroom and the willingness to provide a home to a child in need and some childcare experience. We urgently need more foster carers in Merton for teenagers, sibling groups and unaccompanied asylum seeking minors.
As a Merton Foster Carer you could receive up to £514 per week, per child, plus additional grants, 24 hour support, 7 days a week, on-going training and development and much more.
We hold two Fostering Information events per month at Morden Baptist Church, Crown Lane, SM4 5BL. You don't need to book a place and there is free parking at the church for anyone attending the events.
Thursday 4th October at 10.30am
Wednesday 24th October at 6.30pm
Wednesday 7th November at 10.30am
Wednesday 21st November
If you can't make these events, call us now for a friendly chat and to find out more. We can always arrange a time for a social worker to visit your home and discuss fostering with you in more detail, if it it's more convenient.
